In every educational exhibition and every school event, I hear the same question and I sense this common helplessness among parents in the face of this great fear. Simple steps you can take to facilitate the career guidance process.
🔹 Do not plant in the student's mind the "dream job" that you want or that you wanted for yourself in the past.
🔹 Do not limit him to traditional options such as lawyer, engineer and doctor.
🔹 Do not underestimate the importance of new specializations that he may consider.
🔹 Do not underestimate his abilities and possibilities that you may not know anything about.
🔹 Help him in the journey of exploration through moral and material support.
🔹 Cooperate with the school as much as possible in all its activities in this direction.
🔹 Encourage the school to cooperate with "certified" experts and adopt (scientific) career guidance programs.
🔹 Do not impose a specific specialization on him because you love it or love the university.
🔹 Be open and supportive rather than directive and decisive.
